This four day program at Unity Village combines internal spiritual development with informative, insightful, and inspiring presentations.

2022’s Convergence Retreat & Conference features two Walden Award Honorees; Milagros Phillips, “Healing Racism from the Inside” and Bayo Akomolafe, The Emergence Network, “inviting us to listen deeply” and “to be quick with our heels.” Thought leaders, workshop facilitators, and exceptional music bring in new perspectives on social justice, diversity, spiritual practice, and new ideas for the evolution of New Thought.

Love • Learn • Decide • Do

We will be encircled with engaging and exciting music from our resident musician Amy Steinberg, an inspiring and exciting nationally touring singer and songwriter.

You won’t want to miss this sacred time together!

Keynote Speaker Bayo Akomolafe, Ph.D.

Bayo Akomolafe is a poet, philosopher, and professor who believes we need a radical paradigm shift in our consciousness and current ways of living. He is cofounder and the executive director of The Emergence Network, an alliance of artists, academics, and activists reframing social and environmental problems.

The son of a diplomat, Akomolafe was born to Yoruba parents in western Nigeria and received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology after doing research into Yoruba indigenous healing systems. He’s a consultant with UNESCO, and with his wife developed the first International Workshop on Alternative Research Paradigms and Indigenous Knowledge Promotion in 2011.

He describes himself as a post-activist, offering that the way we respond to crisis may in fact be part of the crisis. Visit bayoakomolafe.net
