Building Community

Rev. Dr. Jerry Troyer joins Dr. Pjae Stanley to discuss his work as the Board President of ANTN, as well as Director of Relationship Development for Urban Street Angels. It's an organization serving more than 140 formerly homeless transition age youth, ages 18 to 24. For Jerry It's all about building community.

Since 2012, Urban Street Angels has worked to end youth homelessness in San Diego by providing temporary bridge housing, education referrals, employment, life skills training and HOPE to transition age youth, ages 18 to 24. The youth have the opportunity to be connected with trade school programs in the areas of Nursing, Cosmetology, HVAC, Plumbing and many others. So far in 2024, more than 35 youth have graduated from one of the programs.

That connection enables the youth to recognize that their past need not determine their future.

In a similar way, ANTN provides the New Thought community the opportunity to be connected with like minded individuals and organizations.

Bio

Rev. Jerry Troyer has been active in New Thought for nearly 30 years. Licensed as a Religious Science Minister in 2005, he also holds a Master Degree in Religious Studies and a Doctor of Divinity from Emerson Theological Institute.

A published author, Jerry travels and speaks regularly in ANTN, Unity and CSL pulpits across the country. Jerry lives with his beloved Golden Retriever, Maggie, in the San Diego area, and has a son, Brandon, and seven grandchildren who live in Oregon.
